Commitment

We are an organisation committed to the challenges faced by society, such as sustainability, the environment or gender equality, and to requirements, such as confidentiality, occupational health and safety and transparency.

We carry out our activity with ethical and responsible behavioural commitments, promote and apply continuous improvement and evaluate our results within a framework of sustainability and social responsibility.

> Centre Management System Policy

Sustainability and the Environment

Sustainability is a fundamental aspect of our research activity. It is the transversal value that seeps into all our lines of expertise, fostering new ideas and driving technological development. In our activities, we also promote awareness actions and expect the companies we work with to apply equivalent environmental standards to ours.

Equality and Diversity

Our commitment to equal treatment and opportunities between women and men, avoiding direct or indirect discrimination on the basis of gender, is a fundamental principle and a strategic pillar of our corporate and people policy.

Our Equality Plan (registered with the Bizkaia Provincial Labour Authority, No. 003497) gathers the points of view of all interested parties to define a set of objectives and actions for improvement. This Plan is valid for four years (2021 – 2025) and in addition to its main purpose, it is an opportunity to generate internal consensus, improve the work climate at GAIKER and have a positive influence on our external collaborators.

Confidentiality

We work to build a relationship of trust with the companies we work with. We listen, analyse needs and offer innovative solutions, guaranteeing confidentiality in the processing of the data and information provided to us.

Occupational Health and Safety

We ensure the occupational health and safety of our employees and collaborators. We have adequate resources to be able to carry out our activities in a safe and healthy working environment, emphasising the prevention of occupational hazards.

Transparency

Transparency and good governance are core values of our organisation. Pursuant to Spanish Law 19/2013, of 9 December, on Transparency, Access to Public Information and Good Governance, we publish the projects we are working on that have received public funding.
