Currently, the pollution of our oceans is a multi-factorial problem in which the mass use of sunscreens composed mainly of organic filters has a negative impact on the marine food chain. The mineral filters developed by ADParticles, consisting mainly of titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, iron oxides and silica, are presented as a firm commitment to sustainability due to their balanced particle size (>100nm) and composition. During the collaboration with Gaiker, rigorous eco-toxicity studies have been carried out comparing different types chemical and mineral filters with different particle sizes, on different study models by means of standardised studies.
